My latest discovery is Incredible Hercules. I tried a few issues from the library, and I haven't laughed out loud reading a comic in a long time! The recent fight between longtime rivals Thor & Herc dressed as each other (long story) was hilarious, including nipple twisters and wedgies. I'm picking up the hardcovers today to read over the weekend.

I've been re-reading a couple of Buzz Dixon's "Serenity" books which I picked up cheap from christianbook.com a year or two ago. Technically they shouldn't be my kind of thing at all, but there's something about the books I really enjoy and sometimes get encouraged by. I recently read "Armorquest: Genesis" and enjoyed that at least as much. I'm also working through "Making Comics" by Scott McCloud and finding it interesting.

In terms of regular reading, I have been into webcomics lately. I just LOVE Axe Cop http://www.axecop.com and Monster Commute http://www.monstercommute.com .

For print comics, I also like Hercules which has been very good. X Babies was good but that mini-series is over, and I like Atomic Robo when it comes out. I've also gone back and been reading Devil Dinosaur and Hulk from the B&W Marvel Essential collections. Those are great- sure, they aren't in color, but you get to read long runs of comics that are hard to find (and often times, very expensive as back issues)...

Thank you, Brainrust!

As for me, I'm mostly reading webcomics myself.  Derek Kirk Kim's TUNE is one of my current must-reads:

are we talking about just comics or regular ol' books?
comic wise, i rarely buy comics. Love drawing them, but never read them. Weird, I know. the last one i bought was the horrendous Lobo book by Sam Kieth that just came out. I'd have been more pleased with setting seven bucks on fire than the low/no quality artwork Sam put into that book, but i digress.

regular books i'm currently reading is: You can lead an atheist to evidence but you can't make him think by Ray Comfort, as well as Apollyon Rising 2012 by Tom Horn.

I think bLANKETS is great.  I've raved about it elsewhere, but it's a really good, meaningful work.  Highly recommended.
